The compilation of the Environmental Profile was a mayor step in the process of the project implementation, to facilitate collection of the data, it was established a coordinating group composed by representatives from all municipal departments, representatives from academic institutions, enterprises, and other key stakeholders. The preliminary draft was shared with key stakeholder representatives during the city consultation adopting their comments and suggestions.

The final completion of the Environmental Profile reflects cross-sectoral cooperation and set up solid foundations for the further project implementation especially addressing environmental pollution in the City. The Environmental Profile has become a “reference book” to disseminate a complete overview of Panzhihua’s economic, social and environmental situation and awareness raising tool for sensitizing local government, private sector and general public on the urgency to control air pollution.
