KCAP is a virtual platform linking environmental issues and needs of cities in Asia and the Pacific with technology. Knowhow, and experience available in Japan.
Journalists from 7 cities in Asia discussed how we can increase disaster prevention capacities and skills at community levels and thus contribute to strengthening disaster resilience of cities.

The Expert Group Meeting aims to find solutions for environmental issues in Asian cities. Experts from both Asia and Japan meet annually to discuss topics such as waste management, water, and sanitation.
A demo project using Eco Bio Blocks, a technology introduced at the Expert Group Meeting was implemented in Mongolis in February 2010.
The Asian City Journalist Conference is held every year jointly by UN-HABITAT ROAP, Nishi Nippon Newspaper, and the Government of Japan (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Tourism and Transport), inviting distinguished journalists from Asian cities such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dalian, Busan, Bangkok, Jakarta, Hoh Chi Min, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, and Singapore.
